About the Foundation

This foundation was established in 2017 to develop an understanding of philanthropy for the Morrow family and generations to come. With this opportunity the board members have been able to grow personally and expand their outlook within their communities as well as on a broader level.

The Mission

The mission of the Susan Morrow Legacy Foundation is to provide support to organizations that are engaged in effective work across a diverse range of fields. These fields include:

  • Susan Morrow Legacy Foundation prioritizes supporting organizations involved in research and early detection of ovarian cancer. The foundation recognizes the importance of addressing women’s health issues, particularly ovarian cancer, which can significantly impact the lives of those affected and their families. By supporting research efforts and initiatives for early detection, the foundation aims to contribute to advancements in understanding, diagnosing, and treating ovarian cancer, ultimately improving the outcomes and quality of life for those facing this disease
  • American Veterans: The foundation aims to assist organizations that work towards supporting and empowering American veterans. This may involve providing resources, services, or programs that help veterans reintegrate into civilian life, address mental health concerns, or access educational and employment opportunities.
  • Animal Welfare: The foundation recognizes the importance of promoting the well-being and protection of animals. It supports organizations that rescue, rehabilitate, and provide care for animals, as well as those that advocate for animal rights and work to prevent cruelty and neglect.
  • Early Childhood Education: The Susan Morrow Legacy Foundation values the significance of early childhood education in laying the foundation for children’s future success. It supports organizations that focus on providing quality education, resources, and support for young children, ensuring they have access to a nurturing learning environment.
  • Education in the Trades and Technical Skills and Alternatives: The foundation recognizes the importance of vocational education and alternative pathways to success. It supports organizations that offer training, resources, and opportunities for individuals to develop skills in trades, technical fields, and alternative educational paths, empowering them for meaningful careers.
  • The Arts: The Susan Morrow Legacy Foundation acknowledges the transformative power of the arts in enriching lives and communities. It supports organizations that promote artistic expression, provide arts education, and foster access to cultural experiences for individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
  • IDD Developmental Disabilities for Youth and Adults: The foundation is committed to supporting organizations that focus on addressing the needs and enhancing the lives of youth and adults with IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities). It aims to provide resources, services, and programs that promote inclusion, independence, and overall well-being for individuals with IDD.
